Planning for the Future

Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois will inspire leadership in girls and adults who improve the world around them. In striving to exceed the expectations of our communities, families and girls, our council establishes strategic initiatives to ensure opportunities and resources are available to fulfill our mission. “Gap” teams are working to achieve the following key priorities by 2019.

Girl Scout Experience – Provide consistent and impactful experience relevant to girls and aligned with community needs.

Leverage Financial Resources – Expand financial resources to leverage the impact of the organization.

Organization Impression – Create an engaging impression of Girl Scouts that resonates with families, new leaders, and emerging volunteers.

Research

The voice of girls is the driving force of Girl Scouts.

Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois listens to our members to advocate for their needs and address issues impacting today’s girls. Our council is proud to work in partnership with the Girl Scout Research Institute to supply accurate information to parents, girls and partner organizations.

Girl Scout Customer Experience Mapping Project

Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois has been selected as one of five local councils from across the nation to partner with Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) for the Girl Scout Customer Experience Mapping project. GSUSA research staff will work with 6 local troops throughout the year to identify common milestones, expectations, pain points, and best practices within the Girl Scout experience.
