Ways to Volunteer

Every day, our volunteers make it possible for girls to become big thinkers, groundbreakers, and role models who make the world a better place. As a volunteer with Girl Scouts, you will become the role model she will always remember.

Whether you can give a few hours, a few weeks, or a few months, volunteering with Girl Scouts is flexible and fun.

Troops

Troop Leader                              
Mentor a group of girls and lead them through the Girl Scout program. Troop leaders will work with parents of girls in the troop to pull everyone together and create fun monthly and bi-monthly meetings.

Troop Volunteers                          
Help with troop activities that fit their interest, availability, and skills. Troop volunteers can assist with driving, activity planning, snacks, money management, or other tasks necessary to have a successful year in Girl Scouts.

Troop Product Managers                                     
Makes sure the troop is organization during the Fall Sale and Cookie Sale Programs. Troop product managers will organize plans for selling products, manage inventory and money, and help girls develop financial literacy skills through these programs.

Troop Communication Managers                                     
Keeps the troop connected through email, text, and social media.

Service Unit Volunteers                                
Mentor other volunteers working with Girl Scouts. Service Units are groups of local troops that work together to provide resources and programs for girls.

After-School Programs

Program Facilitator
Mentor girls in grades K-8 at fun and exciting after-school and community programs. Program facilitators have one-time and weekly volunteers opportunities.

Outdoor Program

Program Facilitators
Lead outdoor activities at all three camps. Training and certification needed to lead the following activities during the fall, spring, and summer will be provided.

Outdoor Program Volunteers
Plan and implement outdoor programs for all 38 counties within the council. Opportunities are available for day camps, overnight camps, outdoor events, or high-adventure travel.

Camp Volunteers
Plan and implement overnight camping events at Camp L-Kee-Ta, Camp Little Cloud, and Camp Liberty for troops, families, and community members.

Events

Daisy Event Volunteers
Assist with the "Dive Into Daisies" events across the council. These events help brand new Girl Scouts in grades K-1 and their parents understand the Girl Scout program. Adults or Girl Scout Program Aides are welcome to volunteer.

Work with the council program team to plan current and new events for Girl Scouts.

Office & Shop

Office Assistant
Support council staff by helping with general office needs or specific department needs. Let us know your expertise and we can help you find a department to assist. Volunteer and Internship opportunities available.
